ICC 20-20 CRICKET WORLD CUP 2009 SCHEDULE


In the second version of 20-20 world cup in England, 12 teams are going to participates for the tournament and all the teams are divided in the four groups as given below:
• Group A : India, Bangladesh, Ireland
• Group B : Pakistan, England, Netherland
• Group C : Australia, Sri Lanka, West Indies
• Group D : South Africa, New Zealand, Scotland
The ICC T20 World Cup 2009 will start from Friday, June 5, 2009 and the first match is between England and Netherlands, at London which is Day and night. The toughest competition among the teams in the Group C.
Final match on Sunday, June 21, 2009 which will be held in London.

Placement for the Super Eight stage is determined as follows:
The first two teams in each group are placed 1 or 2. They will retain this position for the Super Eight stage, irrespective of whether they finish first or second in their group, unless they are knocked out by the team 3 in their group. In this instance, team 3 replaces the position of the team they knock out.
