Winners of IPL-09, Deccan Chargers failed to qualify for the Super Eight contest of Champions league. Caribbean team Trinidad & Tobago defeated Chargers in the crucial encounter match for both teams. However the runners up of IPL, Bangalore Royal Challengers ensured their spot on the super eight.
