Veerendra Sehwag scores a sparkling century against the arch rivals Pakistan in Asia Cup-2008. This is his 9th ODI CENTURY and his 1st Hundred against a test playing nation in 3 years!!. Sehwag scored his century off just 80 balls, with the help of ten boundaries and five sixes
Though he scores quick runs in his own flexible manner, his aggressive style prompts him to throw away his wicket. In recent times, he fails to convert fifties into a good score. However this is a matured innings from Sehwag as he started his innings very carefully. He scored 119 runs from 95 balls with 12 FOURS and 5 huge SIXES. The bowler who took the wicket of Sehwag was none other than the agressive AFRIDI.
Raina faced 69 balls as he blasted ten fours and three sixes in his innings of 84 and Yuvraj Scored48 runs.
Set 300 to win, India eased to their target with the loss of four wickets in just 42.1 overs. Captain Shoaib Malik who retired hurt scored century for Pakistan (125Runs from 119 balls)and Younis supported him with 58 runs.
Suresh Raina adjudjed the Man of the Match Award for his aggressive innings of 84 runs and splendid fielding performances.
