Salman scored 129 from 136 balls with 12 fours and 3 sixes. Salman retired hurt after scoring this century. Younis khan scored 108 runs just from 99 balls with 8 fours and 3 sixes. Pakistan finished their innings with 315 runs with the loss of three wickets.
For chasing a huge target, India need a good opening partnership. Sehwag once again failed in the final by scoring just 2 runs from 8 balls. The inform batsman Gautham Gambhir scored 40runs from just 33 balls with 4 fours and 1 six. After that Rohit Sarma, Suresh Raina and Yousuf Pathan started their innings effectively, but couldn’t produce a matured innings.
