INDIA WON THE UNDER-19 WORLD CUP CRICKET-2012 DEFEATING AUSTRALIA IN THE FINAL

India won the under 19 World Cup-2012 held in Townsville in Australia defeating Aussies in the final by 6 wickets.  Australia made 225-8 after being sent in to bat; with Captain William Bosisto scoring 87 not out. Brilliant and matured innings of Captain Unmukt Chand helped India to achieve this feat in the 47th over itself. He scored unbeaten 111 runs (from 130 balls with 7 boundaries and 6 sixes) shared in a 130-run partnership with Smit Patel (62 not out), who hit the winning runs for India. Sandeep Sharma also excelled with four wickets under his belt. Australia, who also has three under-19 World Cup titles, had never lost a final in the tournament.
This is India's third U-19 World Cup title after Mohammad Kaif's team won it in 2000 and Virat Kohli's side won it in 2008.

HEARTY CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR INDIAN TEAM!
