FULL SCHEDULE OF ICC T20 WORLDCUP 2012

ICC T20 Cricket World Cup will be held in Sri Lanka from September 18 to October 7.  The first match is going to be played between Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka on September 18 and the entire tournament will host 27 matches. This will be the first World Twenty20 tournament held in an Asian country.The last three T20 World Cup were held in South Africa, England and the West Indies respectively.

 The participating nations  of T20 World Cup-2012 are Sri Lanka (the host), Zimbabwe, Australia, Ireland, Afghanistan, India, South Africa, New Zealand, Bangladesh, West Indies, Pakistan and England.
The teams are classified into 4 Groups viz.
Group A – England, India, Afghanistan
Group B – Australia, West Indies, Ireland
Group C – Sri Lanka, South Africa, Zimbabwe
Group D – Pakistan, New Zealand, Bangladesh.

Here is the method of selecting Super 8 Group:

Group 1 – A1, B2, C1, D2
Group 2 – A2, B1, C2, D1

Interesting Facts:
Yuvraj Singh was the man of the Tournament when India won the Under 19 World Cup, T20 World Cup and ODI World Cup. Hopefully, he is now available with Team India.
Sreesanth was included in the finals of  the recent two world Cups (T20 World Cup and ODI World Cup), remember his match winning catch of Misba. Sadly, his service  is not available with Team India for this World Cup.
