GOODBYE KANGAROOS! INDIA WRAP UP A 4-0 SERIES WHITEWASH OVER AUSTRALIA

This is the first time India has whitewashed any opposition 4-0. This is the second time in their Test history that Australia have been whitewashed. The last time being against the South African Springboks in 1970.The victory of India is mind blowing  since the opponent is Australia.

Sledging of Siddle and his brilliant fifties in both innings wasted. Pujara's unbeatable 82 from 92 balls helped India to chase the historic whitewash against Australia.  Ravindra Jadeja won the Man of the Match award for his all-round show. He picked 43 runs and 7 wickets. Ashwin is declared the Man of the series. He picked up 29 wickets in the 4 Tests.

STATISTICS OF THE 4 TEST SERIES:
 Pujara and Vijay scored over 400 runs in this series. Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja picked up 29 and 24 wickets respectively.Shikhar Dhawan's 186 was the second highest score by a debutant in Test cricket.Dhoni's 224 is the highest ever score by an Indian wicket-keeper in Tests. He is also the only Indian wicket-keeper to score a double ton.This is the first time in Test history that a No.9 batsman (Peter Siddle )has scored back to back fifties in a match. Michael Clark became the first captain to lose a match after declaring in the first innings.

Result Summary of India's tour to Australia:
1st Test in Chennai: Australia lost by 122 runs. Dhoni's 224 stole the momentum completely from Australia.
2nd Test  in Hyderabad: Australia lost by an innings and 68 runs. Pujara and Vijay's partnership of 370 for the second wicket demolished Australia.
3rd Test in Mohali: Australia lost by an innings and 37 runs. Dhawan's breath-taking century, which was the fastest by an Indian, ensured Australia were knocked out for the count.
4th Test in Delhi : Australia lost by 298 runs.Jadeja's five wicket haul and Pujara's twin fifties ensured India achieved the whitewash.
