Gambhir hits Double Century






The young and stylish opener of India scores his first Double century against the mighty Australians in the third test match at Firosh sha Kotla stadium, New Delhi. He scored 200 runs from 375 balls which include 25 fours and one huge six of Shane Watson. However watson got the wicket of Gambhir when he was at the score of 206. Watrson bowled Gambhir and the partnership of Laxmon and Gambhir ends in 278, which is the highest 4th wicket partnership at this ground now. Previous best by Walcott and Gomez(267). This record stayed for quite sometime, since 1948 when West Indies toured India.
